UI/UX Designer
For designers who want their screens flown, not just dribbbled.
About this role
A traffic management console is not a landing page. The person using it is watching several aircraft at once, deciding quickly, and cannot afford to hunt for a control. Everything that makes consumer design fun — whitespace, animation, delight — either helps here or gets in the way, and you have to know which.
You will design the interfaces for UTMS and the delivery systems: flows first, then screens, then the states nobody remembers to draw until the build breaks — loading, empty, error, permission denied. You will sit with the developers building it rather than handing off a file and leaving.
Bring a portfolio. Two or three screens with your reasoning written next to them beats forty shots with none.
Requirements
- A portfolio of interface work, in any medium
- Comfort with Figma or an equivalent tool
- Understanding of layout, type and colour fundamentals
- Ability to explain why a screen is laid out the way it is
- Willingness to work alongside developers, not at a distance
Bonus — good to have
- Dashboard, console or data-heavy interface experience
- Basic HTML/CSS, enough to know what is cheap to build
- Any exposure to user testing
What you will build
- Interfaces for UTMS and drone delivery systems
- A design system the team can keep building on
What you will walk away with
- Designing for operators under time pressure, not casual users
- Working inside real constraints instead of an idealised mock
- Shipping a design and then watching people actually use it
