India is Developing 450km Surveillance Radar with Advanced with X-Band Drone Detection to Boost Border Security - https://indianmasterminds.com
New Delhi: Ministry of Defence is accelerating efforts to develop indigenous 450km range surveillance radar systems, a major step toward strengthening national air defence. The 450km surveillance radar initiative focuses on long-range detection, advanced drone tracking, and self-reliance under “Aatmanirbhar Bharat.” These next-generation radars will help detect threats like stealth aircraft, missiles, and drones much earlier, giving armed forces more time to respond effectively.
Modern warfare has changed rapidly with the rise of drones, stealth aircraft, and long-range missiles. Traditional radar systems struggle to detect small, low-flying, or low radar cross-section targets.
