AVPL Launches Phase One of its Haryana Drone Hub

The project has received incentive support of ?585.1 million under the Haryana Enterprise and Employment Policy-2020 and is intended to create a consolidated platform covering manufacturing, component production, testing infrastructure, skill development and technology innovation.

The inauguration event was attended by Krishan Kumar Bedi, the chief guest, along with other government representatives, industry executives, and stakeholders from the drone and defence sectors.

Alongside the launch, AVPL also organised an orientation programme under the ?500 Drone Udhami Scheme” in partnership with the Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation. The initiative aims to train and support 500 Scheduled Caste youth to become drone operators, technicians, entrepreneurs, and agri-drone service providers.

Spread across about 11.5 acres (about 4.65 hectares), Drone City Haryana will include 23 industrial sheds intended for companies involved in drone manufacturing and component production.

Planned infrastructure within the campus includes manufacturing units, component production facilities, testing and demonstration zones, research laboratories, pilot and technician training centres, drone deployment infrastructure, battery and sensor development facilities, assembly lines and entrepreneurship programmes.

The foundation stone for Drone City Haryana was laid by Nayab Singh Saini on 8 September 2025 as part of the state’s broader focus on industrial development, technology adoption and employment generation.
